Alexander is the Healthy Homes Program Coordinator at CEP, helping low-income community members learn about lead poisoning prevention. Alexander is a storyteller and community connector who has been involved in community-driven advocacy in the Pacific Northwest for a decade. Drawing on his background in health equity, environmental justice, and relationship-building, Alexander is passionate about centering and amplifying the lived experiences of community voices at every stage of the process, no matter what project he is working on, because it takes a true connection to help people navigate the world.

Alexander is Indigiqueer and proud of his Mexican, Salvadoran, and Indigenous heritage. Just like people, every home has a heart, and when a heart is struggling or at risk, we must do what we can to heal and protect it. Healthier homes lead to healthier hearts and thriving communities.

When not immersed in work, he enjoys building Food Sovereignty, tending his edible garden, caring for his animal relatives, and paddle boarding with his husband to honor water whenever he can.
