Advocacy

Community Energy Project focuses on three pillars of advocacy

Green and Healthy Homes

CEP advocates for safe, healthy, and efficient homes in a variety of ways such as aging in place, indoor air quality, and climate resilience.

Decarbonization

CEP supports policies and programs to promote electrification and decrease the use of fossil fuels. We are part of a larger movement to build climate resilience, decrease carbon emissions, and improve indoor air quality.

Energy Justice

CEP promotes access to clean and affordable energy and electricity for low-income and frontline communities.

Why Advocacy?

Representing Frontline Communities

Those with low income and people of color are more heavily impacted by the climate crisis. CEP focuses on shaping and supporting policy that creates safe, healthy, and efficient homes.

Expertise

CEP has over 45 years of experience providing direct services to frontline communities, eliminating barriers to access, and utilizing our implementation experience in advocacy spaces from energy policy to environmental justice.

How Does CEP Advocate?
