    "I love the positive impact that I have on my clients. I love deepening my understanding of building science, and I love it even more when I get to apply that knowledge to inform solutions to real world problems. But if I had to pick one thing that I enjoy the most about my work, I’d have to say that it’s the culture here at CEP. The general belief about work culture in this country, and also around many parts of the world, tends to put the interests of companies far above the wellbeing of the people who make up those companies. I feel SO seen and cared about at CEP. It helps me to remember that it is possible for groups like ours to exist because we are here. Right now. Doing the work. All the while, receiving three day summer weekends and being encouraged by our directors to take mental health days."

    "At Community Energy Project (CEP), I find immense satisfaction in bridging sustainability and social justice. My work focuses on helping vulnerable individuals—the elderly, disabled, and low-income—achieve safety and comfort through home repairs and energy upgrades. Witnessing clients' joy and relief as home issues are resolved—from a wobbly handrail to installing a new heat pump—is incredibly rewarding. These improvements profoundly enhance the quality of life for those struggling to maintain safe, comfortable homes while meeting basic needs.
