Lead Poisoning Prevention and Healthy Homes Workshops are provided year round. Attend a topic-specific workshop or our full workshop that covers the basics on each topic.

Lead Poisoning Prevention Workshop

The Lead Poisoning Prevention workshop teaches participants about the health effects and common sources of lead exposure, including old household paint, drinking water, and soil. This workshop empowers participants with the basic prevention measures to limit future exposure and provides regional resources to help eliminate lead poisoning.

Healthy Homes Workshop

The Healthy Homes workshops focus on maintaining healthy indoor air quality, carbon monoxide safety, radon testing, and mold mitigation. Participants will leave with basic identification and prevention measures to reduce their exposure to unsafe home conditions and gain awareness of regional resources to help eliminate hazards in their home.

  • Understanding how to identify common indoor air quality pollutants

  • Preventing exposure to radon, mold, and carbon monoxide in your home

  • Regional resources to help you eliminate any found hazards
