Heating Systems 101

For most Americans, heating your home uses more energy than any other activity and can come at a high cost. The most common types of heating systems in the Pacific Northwest include furnaces (oil, natural gas, or electric), heat pumps, and electric resistance heat (wall heater or portable space heaters). Whether you’re interested in replacing an old heating system or lowering the cost of using an existing one, the first step is learning how each of these heaters work.
