CEP is hiring a new Bookkeeper!

Community Energy Project is currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join our expanding team.  Come join us as we grow and celebrate our 40th year serving Portland.

Summary: The Bookkeeper will assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. This position requires a skilled multi-tasker, who is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

The Bookkeeper will process all company financial records through QuickBooks Online, creating, maintaining, and organizing subsidiary journals, ledgers, analysis, etc., as required. This employee also reviews time sheets, enters to payroll service, and translates payroll service’s reports into QuickBooks Online. S/he will prepare financial reports as directed. The Bookkeeper will also help establish and then maintain the business and accounting calendar, taking responsibility for meeting deadlines for payroll, insurance renewals, 1099’s,    W-2’s, etc. In addition, he/she will assist with the inventory, personnel, and supplies purchasing.

Salary: $17-$20 per hour depending on experience
