Abasi Umoh

In-Homes Auditor

since 2023

   

Abasi Umoh is an auditor on CEP’s In-Homes team. Abasi conducts home assessments to provide homeowners with Home Energy Scores. They also develop scopes of work for home retrofits that will help homes become more efficient, safe, and comfortable for CEP clients.

Aleksey Chernysh

In-Homes Services Technician

since 2014

   

Aleksey is one of two Service Technicians who weatherize homes and make safety-related repairs for seniors and people with disabilities. Aleksey has extensive experience as a cabinet maker, carpenter, and in general maintenance, before his desire to help people led him to CEP.

Bob Buckstaff

In-Homes Auditor

since 2023

   

Bob Buckstaff joins CEP as an auditor for the In-Homes team. He brings his previous experience as a residential home inspector to CEP in hopes of building a more safe and energy-efficient future for the residents of our community.

Breanne Radford

Climate Resilience Coordinator

since 2023

   

Breanne Radford joins the education team as the Climate Resilience Coordinator. After spending a decade in the wine industry, she is excited to share valuable energy-saving resources with the community and help families feel comfortable at home.

Cameo Konfrst

Development Director

since 2017

   

Cameo is the Development Director at CEP. She is driven by aiding others and leaving a purposeful impact within her personal and professional life.  She comes to CEP with over a decade of experience working with other non-profits in arenas such as health, research, and arts.

Charity Fain

Executive Director

since 2013

   

Charity has almost 20 years of experience building stronger communities in the US and around the world. She is responsible for the overall management of of the organization and working with the Board in considering the strategic direction for the organization.

Donovan James

Director of Finance & Administration

Donovan James has over ten years of experience in Finance, and is thrilled to be a part of CEP.  He’s dedicated to helping others, and believes that our society has the resources to provide for the basic needs for all.

Erika Carranza

Spanish Program Coordinator

since 2022

  

Erika Carranza joins Community Energy Project to support our Spanish speaking clients. She is an immigrant that has dedicated her life to support the Latino Community, with several years of working with nonprofits to provide diverse resources.

Frances Sandoval

Program Coordinator

since 2022

   

Frances Sandoval is new to Weatherization and Energy efficiency. She has over 14 years Administrative experience in Healthcare and is excited to begin her new journey with Community Energy Project as the Program Coordinator for In-Homes.

Geoff Fey

Portland Clean Energy Fund Manager

since 2018

  

Geoff Fey is the Manager of Community Energy Project’s Portland Clean Energy Fund program. He is able to directly help low-income homeowners experiencing high energy burdens with comprehensive energy efficiency upgrades.

Haley Mountain

Engagement Manager

since 2016

  

Haley Mountain is our Engagement Manager who oversees the Community Education Department and promotes new and existing relationships with community-based organizations, government agencies, and funders. With over 6 years of community education and engagement experience, she understands the importance of strong partnerships and needs-based programming.

Jackie Arcouette-Smit

Finance Manager

since 2018

   

Jackie is the Finance Manager and oversees the day to day financial obligations at CEP. She and her husband used to own their own business and one of the things she enjoyed most about it was helping to make homes more energy efficient and comfortable for the people living there.

Jenna Jarvis

Communications and Development Coordinator

since 2022

   

Jenna Jarvis is the Communications and Development Coordinator for Community Energy Project. Her background in marketing and copywriting allows her to highlight the variety of services offered by CEP in unique ways.

Jim Plantico

Program Director

since 2021

   

Jim Plantico oversees the development and implementation of CEP’s direct service programs, which aim to create safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient homes for low-income Portlanders.

Lena Karam

Healthy Homes Coordinator

since 2023

   

Lena is joining the Community Energy Project as the Healthy Homes Coordinator. Lena is passionate about community education and sustainable solutions and she is eager to share resources and practical skills with community members so they can lead healthy and safe lives!

Roc Aiken

In-Homes Services Manager

since 2017

  

Roc is the In-Homes Services Manager. He conducts in-home inspections, addressing the needs of seniors and people with disabilities. Roc is also a veteran, he spent two years in the US Navy stationed in San Diego, CA. He graduated from Portland State University, receiving a BA in Criminal Justice.

Sara Wallach

Strategic Energy Management Coordinator

Sara joins the Community Energy project as the Strategic Energy Management Coordinator, after completing her bachelor’s degree in International Development at Portland State University. She is excited to transition from her role as the healthy homes coordinator to SEM coordinator to continue to help families gain the access to resources and tools needed to make safe healthy homes.

Sherrie Villmark

Program Director

Sherrie Villmark has nearly 20 years of experience in a variety of community education approaches, including environmental interpretation, voter education and mobilization, skill-building, public speaking, consulting, and advocacy with decision-makers.

Siraat Younas

Climate Justice Associate

since 2023

   

Siraat is a Climate Justice Associate at CEP and advocates for frontline and traditionally underserved communities to advance energy and climate justice. She also collaborates with other environmental justice stakeholders around equitable climate policy and rulemaking and program design.

Yuriy Zaslavskiy

In-Homes Services Technician

since 2017

   

Yuriy is one of two Service Technicians who weatherize homes and make safety related repairs for seniors and people with disabilities. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the Economic University of Uzbekistan and has more than 20 years’ experience in information technology.
