Community Energy Project is delighted to announce that with all the fantastic support, our 2017 Spring Social, held at the Lagunitas Brewing Company’s Portland Community Room on May 9th was a huge success. 126 people came out in support and together raised more than $16,000 to continue the work of CEP.
During the event, CEP’s Executive Director, Charity Fain and Board President, Jeff Cole handed out the Good Energy Awards. This year’s recipients were Seth Francis and Brion Hurley, both CEP Volunteer Workshop Leaders and Pacific Power and HDR, both long-time supporters of our organization.
Preceding the Special Appeal, Program Director, Sherrie Pelsma talked about the future of CEP and its investing in low-income solar programs. The inspiring information bolted the audience to support the future with 36 paddle raises totaling more than $2,500.
The event was presented by Gerding Edlen and was also sponsored by CLEAResult, SCC, Carleton Hart Architecture, PAE, Glumac and Green Building Services. We would like to thank them all for their financial support as well as all donors that helped make the social a success.
Be sure to stay tuned to CEP for information about the 2018 Spring Social and if you didn’t get a chance to join us, you can make a point of attending next year’s event! See you there!
