Community Energy Project has been serving the Portland-Metro community for over 30 years. CEP is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and all proceeds from our Training and Consulting Services help to fund CEP programs. Thank you for choosing us.

Years of Experience With Lead Poisoning Prevention

CEP has shared information about lead poisoning prevention with over 4,000 households in the community since the year 2000. We have worked with families who have experienced lead poisoning first-hand, and have a real connection with the impact lead poisoning can have on families. We've worked with a wide variety of people across income levels, race, language, age, and experience. CEP's lead poisoning prevention program was awarded the Multnomah County Health Hero in 2005 as a result of our work. This gives us a unique perspective as we share information with contractors to protect themselves, their workers, and the inhabitants of the buildings they help to improve.
